I’m Margeaux Vittoria. This blog is about the stuff I like to do!
….which is a fairly broad category, but typically includes:
- Healthy baking and cooking (my focus is sugar-free and gluten-free desserts)
I feel most like myself when I’m making something.
During high school I spent much of my time learning about sewing, crocheting, and baking. I learned the most about the latter from working at four different bakeries between the ages of 17 and 21. Not a week goes by when I don’t bake, sew, or crochet something and that’s been true in my life for a long time.
I started practicing yoga as a method of dealing with stress from college. My first experience was with YogaDownload.com twenty minute yoga podcasts – they made a huge positive impact on my coping skills. In the years since I’ve practiced at various studios before starting a work trade position at a hot yoga studio and committing my practice there in April ’14.
Running entered my life around the same time as yoga. Running never came naturally to me and I’d never run further than a mile before I completed a Couch to 5K program and ran a 5K at 18. While I still ran here and there afterwards, my passion for the sport really ignited after Miles was born in November ’14.
The practical details of my life…
I’m 23 – I grew up in Iowa and now live in Southeast Wisconsin. My husband (Zach) is a chiropractor, we’ve been married for a couple of years, and we have a one-year-old son named Miles.
I stay home with Miles and earn extra money from freelance writing jobs, blogging, and running two Etsy shops (Mux Originals = handmade 18″ doll clothes and Sweet Yogi Accessories = upcycled fitness accessories). I was homeschooled all the way through high school and have an associates degree in Writing from a community college.
